Wiseguys Chicago Pizza Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

  • Ron B.

This is coming from Chicago native, I liked Wise Guys pizza, but it for sure the pizza is not made with the sauces on top (ie, Connie's, Giordano's, Lou Malnati's ). If you are not familiar with this process, the pizza will not arrive with cheese on top, but you will see Italian tomato sauces/meat instead. The cheese is normally above the crust. For me, I would have given it 5 stars if it were prepared in this manner. Everyone has their own taste so this my not matter to you. Sauce on top is what I am use to seeing/eating for years. The wait time(45-50 min) is authentic (lol) because it takes time for an actual deep dish to bake, so bring your Facebook app/crossword puzzles! I must say, THE HOT DOGS ARE SPOT ON(Kosher beef, onions, tomatoes, peppers, dark green relish/dill pickle). Wise guys is the closets thing to Chicago style pizza as it gets in the mid south. I don't mind that the location is a refurbished house. The owner came out after we received our pizza and asked if we enjoyed it, nice guy! I will say I will be coming back again for my pizza fix, regardless if it is prepared a little differently. Please try for yourself....

Okay, the bad news is this is not real Chicago-style deep dish pizza. The name and reputation is misleading. The good news is that the pizza is good, doughy but good, and the restaurant is satisfactory. Go for a night out with the family but don't expect genuine deep dish pizza like you'd find at Giordano's or Lou Malnati's in Chicago or their other locations around the country. This is just pan pizza with a thick crust. Can we get some genuine deep dish pizza in Memphis?

Excellent customer service. Food was awesome. I ordered the personal pan it was really good. Worth the ride.

Pretty standard food, nothing too exciting here. I had a thin sausage pizza and the dough was kind of bland and flavorless, the sauce was overpowering. My wife had a chili dog, and I the whole thing looked straight out of a Sysco freezer bag. She said it was pretty meh as well. Perhaps if we'd ordered a deep dish pizza, the story would be different. The menu does mention the 45 minute wait for deep dish pizza and we didn't have that kind of time, hence the thin crust. It was only a 25 minute wait for thin crust which was pretty spot on. Pricing was fairly reasonable. Wife and I ate for right about $20 for the two of us before tip. Wait staff was on the ball, and this was lunch time on a Saturday. The atmosphere is interesting, it's inside an old house, so it seems a bit claustrophobic, and the main dining room has kids coloring book pages all over the ceiling. I think that kids color then there and they tape them up. Overall, this was a forgettable restaurant that and I can't say I'd recommend it, unless you don't have a better option available to you, Such as Three Guys Pizza on Church Rd.

Sauce on top, no sauce on top - who cares! I don't get you Chicago style pizza lovers, your crusts are wrong! Ok, so to be fair I am not a fan of Chicago style pizza but seeing pictures of the cheesyness I was willing to give it a try. Since the pizza takes 45 minutes we got some mozerella stick appetizers and they were super yum, I would get them again for sure. When the pizza arrived it was hot, fresh and loaded with toppings. We got a large so we'd have leftovers since this place is out of the way for us and the bf likes this kind of pizza. I finished a full piece and quit while the bf had two. When I picked up out to go box I was surprised how heavy it was, turns out each pizza is 5.5lbs - that's 11oz per piece folks! The cheese was good, I have no doubt the toppings are quality and the sauce was not bad but the crust flavor was a no go for me, reminded me of a frozen pizza. The ambience is super chill and they have tv and coloring books for the kids to keep you entertained during the wait. A family of four could easily eat off one large so considering that it's also a good value. I do think this place is legit so if you like Chicago style you should be pleased as punch here.

Decided to try this place when I was looking for a place that serves Chicago pizza! It was very good pizza. Not quite Chicago style thin crust- didn't have time to wait for deep dish. Much better than most places around. Also has great Chicago decor!!

Our favorite pizza so far since moving to the Memphis area! I don't care what some of the people say about this not being "real" Chicago pizza cause they don't put the sauce on top. Who seriously cares? Isn't it really about the taste? And the taste is great.....the buttery, doughy, yet slightly crispy crust, the great sauce and cheese....it all comes together for truly outstanding pizza. We always get a small thin crust, and a small deep dish.....more than enough food to feed 3-4 people, and both styles are great! Chili Cheese Fries are great too, as well as the fried mushrooms. I haven't tried any other menu items yet (I'm too in love with the pizza), but my coworker tells me the Sausages, and Gyros are great as well, and the ingredients are authentic Chicago. I've been to Chicago numerous times, and this place rivals the stuff up north. Give it a try, and have a good meal. You can thank me at your convenience.

OK, so "Chicago Girl" Erica B does not know what she is talking about. I lived in Chicago for over a decade and am married to a born and raised Chicago native. Sauce on top is for Chicago STUFFED pizza from Gino's East, Gioradanos, Malnatis, etc. Wiseguys does PAN and THIN which is authentic to what you will get in Chicago. They do not do STUFFED. I was in Chicago 2 weeks ago and had Giordano's thin. Here at Wiseguys today and this is the same stuff. This is the real deal. Best you will find in this area.

Got the Chicago style large with all 4 veggies and pepperoni and sausage. The pizza had very little sauce and lacked flavor. I could only taste the cheese. The crust was not fluffy and bready. It was almost like a thin doughy crust. Maybe not a bad thing... Just not what I expected. The person on the phone was nice. I suggest asking for extra sauce or getting sauce on top of the pizza like they do at touristy places in Chicago. Not worth the drive down from memphis.

One of the best pizza pies in the area. There is no need to ask for extra cheese, longer cooking time, or more toppings. This place does it right the first time, every time for me. This is a cheesy , thick, topping loaded pizza cooked to bubbling perfection. If you are in the mood for a deep deep dish pizza and you are in the area; don't be deceived by the fact that this is a house converted into a restaurant. Wise guys is for real. This is not a dream. Yes it can take almost an hour for the pizza to cook, but you will not question it when you see it. Everything is quality right down to the nifty pizza box that converts into 4 plates, and a left over container. The Chicago style hot dog is on point including bright green relish with its unique sweet flavor, and poppy seed coated hotdog bun. The prices are a bit steep, but the quantity, and quality of the food is well worth it. The inside of the restaurant is unique, and the staff is very polite always making sure you are enjoying your visit. Parking can be problematic but this is still definitely a place I don't mind sitting down with a beer and watching a game at while waiting for my pie. If you are in need of a grab and go, just call ahead for your order. Thank you Wise Guys for doing it right.

Deep Dish Chicago style pizza and it is simply delish I was overstuffed and of course we could not finish it all but we really enjoyed the food and the experience. It's a very nice atmosphere staff was very friendly nice down home pizza shop.

  • Justin L.

We went here on Saturday and ordered a large deep dish pizza---with just cheese on it. It was absolutely delicious. While I understand there is a difference between "stuffed" pizza and "deep dish", this was pretty darn good, and ranks up there with some of the deep dish pizza I have had in Chicago. I cannot wait to go back and try the Italian Beef Sandwich...and some more deep dish!

  • Neek C.

Some great pizza. You're going to wait 45 minutes to an hour for a deep dish but its worth it. Cheesy goodness. I wouldn't call it Chicago style deep dish style. Chicago style deep dish has the sauce on the top. Nonetheless, a great place for deep dish pizza.

  • Taylor S.

I really liked the atmosphere here, i like that it is a clearly reinvented house in horn lake that specializes in Chicago style food. My tips for coming here: *if you are getting pizza, especially deep dish, call ahead and place your order, even if you are eating there...45 minutes is too long to wait after getting your drinks if you are hungry. *make reservations for a group +6 *don't order the personal dish deep pizza, it is cute, but just get the bigger one.

    (3)
  • Tim H.

Great pizza! No, it's not as good as a Chicago deep dish but it's good. I recommend ordering your pizza by phone if you plan to dine in as it takes about 45 minutes to make. We got the meat lovers and it was really good and plenty of left overs to take home.

  • Leo B.

As others have pointed out, the deep dish is not "Chicago Style". The construction is wrong, and given their strong Chicago branding I find this quite puzzling. If the restaurant is going to be a pizza joint with strong Chicago branding, it really needs to have prototypical Chicago deep dish. If I try and put the Chicago style thing aside and just evaluate it as deep dish pizza the result is just ok. I feel like there is a little too much cheese, and that the crust has little flavor, is overcooked on the outside, and undercooked on the inside. Given it is a true deep dish (1"+ thick) it takes a long time to cook, and in this case I just don't think it is worth it. The atmosphere also leaves a bit to be desired. This is a remodeled home that looks a bit tired and like it needs a refresh. Service was fast and friendly.

Best deep dish pizza I've ever had. It's very addicting. The pizza is expensive but it's worth the money.

It was just okay. My husband and I love deep dish Chicago style this did not meet our expectations. It was bad but was by far great. Prices are what I would expect for deep dish.

Well, for starters, I have to give credit where credit is due. Erica B, is 100% correct in her review. Before I ate at Wiseguys, I read her review and thought it was simply another petty, ridiculous, and excessively whiny review from someone wishing they were relevant. I was completely wrong. Her review is spot-on. Below I will reiterate some of what she said, as well as further elaborate on some of the intricacies of my experience. Food: On the surface, this is a pretty good pizza. But, then you start delving into it, and eating more of it and realize there are some glaring problems. First. As Erica B. mentioned, this is NOT Chicago pizza. The name of their restaurant should be 'Wiseguys Deepdish Pizza' -- NOT 'Chicago Pizza'. Traditional Chicago pizza has the sauce on top. I was born and raised in NY and even I know that...By not constructing it properly, it significantly alters the flavor profile of the entire pizza. That is a fact. There is no way around it. If you haven't had real Chicago-style pizza before, you simply wouldn't know; but this is sadly not it. Lastly, the dough tastes too much like olive oil. In my experience with Chicago style pizza, it tastes buttery, not olive-oily. Food Con't: Alright, so onto the actual food ratings. The sauce was fresh tasting with a lot of nice flavor. Though, there was not enough to balance out the excessive amount of cheese that was a little too salty and threw the entire flavor profile out of whack. Yes, it is a copious amount of cheese; but sometimes more is not better. As stated above, the dough tasted too much of olive oil. The sausage was ok, but the canned mushrooms were not very good. All-in-all, this is an OK pizza at best Food: 2 / 5 ( 3 - 1 for the fact that it is NOT a Chicago pizza) Service: Frantic. That is the easiest way for me to describe it. You have two ladies running around like chickens with their heads cut-off, and the wait times are excessive. It is great that you make them to order, but the quality of the "Chicago-style" pizza is lacking, and does not justify a 53 minute wait for a small. Despite that, the service was friendly which is nice. Service: 3 / 5 Atmosphere: The ambience is far too rushed for me to enjoy eating inside. Because of the frantic nature of the servers, it put me on edge. I got my pizza to go, but in the 53 minutes I sat there waiting for it, I didn't like how the atmosphere felt. Weird, I know; but true. The décor was nice. That's about all I can say. Atmosphere: 3 / 5 Price: Simply put, the price does not justify the product for all of the reasons above. Price: 2 / 5 Final Thoughts: There isn't much more to say besides this is not Chicago pizza, and it is not worth the inflated cost. The sauce tastes homemade, the cheese tastes homemade, and the dough is obviously homemade. Unfortunately, a pizza is ultimately the sum of ALL of its parts...and unfortunately, none of the components compliment each other. This review mathematically comes out to a 2.5. If you have read my other reviews, I reserve the right to round up or down in this instance...and...you guessed it. I rounded down.

I grew up in the Windy City and I can tell you that Wise guys is the real thing. I adore this Chicago style place for pizza and sandwiches. If you want deep dish, be sure to call ahead as this amount of greatness takes time (45 minutes.)

    (5)
  • Carlos S.

This place is unique. A converted house with Chicago decor in every room. The Chicago deep dish pizza takes a while to make, so it's best to call ahead. As for the sandwiches, the Chicago beef is soaking wet of tasty goodness. The Polish beef isn't bad at all either. If you don't bring an appetite, expect to take leftovers home.

I'm a Chicago girl and I know me some Chicago deep dish pizza. This isn't it folks. First off, no self-respecting Chicago establishment puts cheese on top of their deep dish pizza. It's not how it is done. The sauce goes on top. Period. So, when I read reviews and saw photos reflecting the cheese being on top, I figured, no biggie. They'll make it authentic if I ask them to. Nope. They "don't make their pizza with sauce on top." Ummm...why not? A) How hard is it to switch the order of the two ingredients and B) how can you even call it CHICAGO style if it isn't actually Chicago style? Yeah, I'm gonna be an ass about this. I was prepared to look past this and waited the obligatory 45 minutes for this creation. We added tomatoes and mushrooms and when it came out I couldn't take a bite fast enough. And that's where it ended. Here's the thing, there's something magical about the way the cheese melds into the thick, pie-like crust in a true deep dish pizza. There's something equally amazing about the way the crushed tomatoes and sauce just sit atop and complement all the flavors. I can't explain it- if you are a Chicagoan you get it. It makes sense and that's that. There's a reason it's done that way, because the cheese on top just doesn't work- especially the amount of cheese Wiseguys throws on. This was insane folks. I couldn't even taste any sauce. Had we not added tomatoes, I don't even know that I would have been able to spot anything red. This was also the first time I've ever left my crust on the plate. So utterly disappointed. My husband also ordered a Chicago dog, which was truly authentic. I can't award too many points there because this isn't anything spectacular. You have the correct ingredients shipped in and assemble the dog. There's no creating anything there. It isn't rocket science. I give them two stars because they were friendly as all get out and the decor was fun- Bears, Blackhawks, Cubs, Bulls and the Blues Brothers all residing in a tiny little pizza shack in Mississippi. Perhaps they would have gotten that third star if they had some White Sox representation, but I doubt it. That pizza was just wrong.

Great service, quirky interior, fair price, but the deep dish pizza is a bit too generic and has too much cheese, literally oozing cheese. Holds up well cold, but overall not amazing. Regular pizza with a lot of Sysco cheese. I also wish the dough had more flavor and would be more airy.

    (3)
  • Ashley H.

The last time we went, we asked them to make the pizza the traditional Chicago way - upside down. They don't do that. Who knows why???? I have to admit, even though its the same pizza I loved before, it lost part of its charm. That won't stop us from going there though.

Being a native of Chicago, I can say this is about the closest you are gonna get to Chicago Style pizza in the mid-south. It was good tasting. Although we found the prices a bit high and the crust taste a bit too much like flour. I would recommend take out rather than eat in. Dining area leaves a lot to be desired.

It's like being back in Chi-Town. Authentic Chicago style hot dogs. Authentic... Great Italian beef, sausages, hand cut skin on fries. Great and friendly service (that's the Southern part of the experience) haven't had the pizza yet because I can't get my fill of the dogs and Italian beef, dipped of course. I eat here every time I hit town. If you love the real things me the drive.

This place has great food but could use more stuff on the menu. The decor is pretty nice but they should have booths and tables but its a small restaurant. I would go back and see how well their hot dogs are.

Having lived in Chicago, I can honestly say that having them is like having a piece of Chicago in Mississippi!! Absolutely the BEST!!!! Great service, amazing food, fair prices, and large portions. I can't say enough about this place, other than if you're smart you'll check them out!!!

I almost don't try this pizza just because of other reviews I reed. I used to live in Detroit, so it was really easy for us to go to Chicago and stay for the weekend with my friend that lives there and always, I mean ALWAYS have the typical pizza there, so I do know it is hard to match the flavors, and yes this is not the exact same flavor or the way the originals are assembled. The concern with this is that it is not assembled like an original Deep Dish Chicago Style Pizza, but I found out that IT DOESN'T really matters because its so delicious! They are using really good ingredients, and it is the nearest thing we have of a Chicago style deep dish pizza around here, so in my humble opinion who cares how it's assembled? it has the same ingredients and it is one of the best pizzas I've tried in the Memphis-DeSoto area. I'm born and raised in Mexico, so imagine me reviewing ALL the restaurant places around here... it would be chaos because to be truly honest all of them has gone a little TexMex and why? because that's what sells. So I just review the flavors and the proximity of their recipes to be authentic Mexican cuisine that we actually eat all around Mexico. The service is so friendly, they are all family and try very hard to make you feel at home too. Good thing there is so many pizzerias for every taste around there, I'm just saying you don't know until you try it, and I did try it and now love this place and will be coming back for more slices of yummy 1000 carbs I have to burn during a month at the gym, I don't care, is worth it! LOL

For the second time I had the Italian beef and they ruined it. I had it dipped and they soaked it. It was so wet the bottom fell out. Hardly any cheese on it. I paid $15 for the sandwich fries and a drink. I won't be back. It is not like a Chicago Italian beef.

  • Jim G.

Better than average pizzeria in Horn Lake couple miles off the interstate. I'm no expert on Chicago style so I'll steer clear of that debate. I tried both the thick and thin crust both were good, but the amount of cheese was overwhelming and didn't allow much flavor from the sauce.

  • Stephanie W.

We drove all the way from Memphis for this pizza!! I know, crazy - right?? Well not really because it was only like a 15 minute drive but seriously, this pizza was SO WORTH IT!! I don't know how they did it but this pizza was outstanding. The layers of pepperoni, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese was divine. We ordered the thin crust and the sauce was perfect, not too much but just enough to pull everything together. I don't really care if the pizza is Chicago style, NY style, any kind of style - if it's delicious it's my kind of pizza!!

you can argue if it is authentic chicago "style" or not.....but it is the best you are going to get in this neck of the woods ....for sure

Excellent Pizza, the best Chicago style pizza anywhere near Memphis. Though it is a little out of the way the food is delicious. The environment could use a little boost. Wish it had a delivery service....it gets my vote for an authentic attempt. Some Chicago folks and or serious foodies may have some issues with the quality/ taste of the food.

Authentic chicago style pizza and hotdogs in Mississippi. Who would have thought that? Its all there. The vienna beef dogs, polish sausages, sport peppers, fluorescent green relish, its all there! Their signature deep dish pizza, its well worth the 45min-1hr wait and if you eat more than 2 slices of that, you might consider calling 911. They're huge! But they're so good... We go there as a group for lunch on a semi-relaxed day and absolutely pig out! Everyone likes it. What's more, we even got the owners to cater to one of our work place lunches....

A few of the reviewers nailed it: this isn't authentic Chicago deep-dish. I know they ship in the cheese from up north (which is great), and maybe the Italian sausage, but not sure of the rest. One of the reviewers pointed out that they don't put enough sauce on to balance the crust, cheese, and other ingredients, and they are absolutely spot-on with this critique. This was a minor problem in the past, but it seems to be getting much worse. Not sure if it's due to the young guys making the pizza, instructions to cut corners, or what, but today's pizza consisted of a lot of cheese (and good cheese at that), with just a smattering of sauce, and a few sausage chunks, all on top of an undercooked crust. It left a lot to be desired. I've been a repeat customer in spite of the upside-down nature of this pizza, because the ingredients were great, it was deep-dish, and it was well-cooked. However, after today, I'm not sure if/when I'll go back. Oh, I should mention that is wasn't at all crowded today (so the cooks didn't have to rush) and the wait staff was friendly as usual.

Not a fan at all. I was expecting to a Chicago style pizza and instead I got a pizza drowned in cheese lol. NORMALLY i love Cheese but with a Chicago style pizza I expect way more sauce too... they easily could have been amazing but they put 3x more cheese than sauce. I normally give places another chance but I'll just stick to going to Chicago for it bc it's too expensive to risk and I'll eat Broadway pizza instead. Sorry wiseguys, we tried.

I was born and raised in Chicago and often long for a taste of the Windy City. I shed a tear when Jimmy gave it up in Bartlett but welcomed Noodle Star with open arms. My brother was in Southaven for a softball tournament last weekend and we went to Wiseguys. The decor is fun and staff is awesome. The food was quite good and authentic too. The deep dish pizza is off by my standards but was still good -- I found their sausage to be too sweet for Chicago taste. The hot dogs are spot on and Italian beef was done just right. You need to dunk your beef and they did it until the bread was falling apart. Get a bunch of napkins 'cuz the food gets messy, but it's quite good.

  • Candice L.

Wiseguys is my favorite pizza in the Memphis area. It's one of the only pizzas I consider to be good. YUM. I love Chicago style pizza. They make 'em fresh to order, and a Chicago pizza takes about 45 minutes, but it's well worth the wait. We usually call in right before we leave the house. It's a 30 minute drive from East Memphis to Horn Lake, MS and so worth it!

OMG. This place was awesome. My family went here in search of the a true deep dish , and boy did we get it. My husband, myself, 8 year old, and 11 year old could not finish the large meat off. We took the leftovers to my sister and brother in-law. Being a cheese lover, I was more than pleased with the cheese. This was one of the first times the cheese stretched like it does in the commercials. The staff was great. The environment was charming and engaging. This was truly a treasure. We felt like tourists. We loved it and will be back. **SIDE NOTE: THE PICTURE LOOKS LIKE OUR PIZZA**

I have had both the deep dish and the regular pizzas. Great. The chili dogs are also fantastic. Something we always get is the chili cheese fries. I don't see a lot of people get them, but they are money. They recently switched to Pepsi products which I am not a fan of. They have beer only, no liquor. Very casual atmosphere, this is where I've taken both mine and my boyfriend's families. Highly recommended

Originally we drove from Memphis and were skeptical when we got there but Holy Moly that pizza is giant. Do not order extra anything as one slice of the pie is sufficient for any man or woman. Great time had by all, I cannot wait to try a Chicago style hot dog or gyro.

Awesome Chicago style pan pizza. Definitely filled us up and the prices were reasonable for the large amount of food we got. I highly recommend Wiseguys for pizza for anyone visiting or living in the Midsouth area.

...and wouldn't ya know it?? We went back and Wiseguys stood the test of time. We have been back 2 times since our first post and the pizza was just as good each time. This place is money, especially for only having been in business for 2.5 years. We might be the first to write and rave about Wiseguys, but we most certainly will not be the last. Go get some!

Loved this place. Pizza is awesome. They let you know in the menu how long to allow for a pizza. Lots of Cubs memorabilia on the walls. Cool place. The waitress I had was a real sweetie.

This pizza tastes good, a little too greasy. Service needs to improve. Make sure you have plenty of time; pizza can take an hour (even thin crust).

My new favorite place. Being a Chicagoan it's like being home, reminds me of walking around the Friendly Confines before a Cubs game.....man I miss Chicago but WiseGuys does a great job of bringing a little bit of Chicago down to MS. I've had their dogs, beefs, and deep dish and all are spot on true Chicago Style. I've yet to try their thin crust but their deep dish is great. This is a SMALL place, parking is very crowded and often you can find humor in watching people trying to navigate their vehicles in the parking lot. They are also very small and busy, therefore wait times can be long and seating is hit and miss. Sometimes you can get a table sometimes it's better to eat outside or take it to go. The people are very friendly, and their busyness is a tribute to how good the food is. Their menu is rather restricted (which is ok) because their food is great. I would like to see a little more variety on their menu and wish they would expand their business but that's just me. I've yet to find a good Gyro in this city and think that WiseGuys could pull it off, but until then I will stick with the dogs and pizza and enjoy every bite!!!

  • Ben B.

The Chicago dog tasted like it was straight from Wrigley field. The homeade french fries had a great taste as well and were cooked just right. As a Cubs fan, I loved all of the Chicago sports decor that covers the walls. If you are in the area pass on all of the chain restaurants and go to Wiseguys instead.

  • Everette B.

I didn't know what Chicago style deep dish pizza was until I came here. I'm pretty sure they've ruined it for any other kind of Chicago Pizza restaurant! I gave 4 stars because their prices are pretty steep. Though I highly recommend trying it once. You can decide for yourself (based on your income! lol) if you're coming back. You'll love the pizza, just try not to look at the tab until it's over.

  • Tom B.

I'm a BIG fan. Growing up in the Chicago area but living in the south since college, I have been missing Italian Beef and good pizza. The location is an old home on Hwy 51 so its not fancy. I believe the spinsters would consider it to have "character". I enjoy seeing all the Chicago memorabilia that harkens back to my youth (Steve Dahl & Gary Meier, Ernie Banks, Walter Payton). While the pizza is DEEP dish, it isn't an upside down version with sauce on top. It does have lots of cheese so it takes a long time to cook. The Italian sausage on the pizza is outstanding too. So grab yourself a beer or three, sit down and watch the Cubs game and enjoy the food. If you've only got 10 minutes, order an Italian Beef, dunked.

BEST PIZZA ever, Husband and I love the meat lovers pizza thin crust as the Chicago style is to much bread for us. My boys from California could not finish the small Chicago Style pepperoni pizza and there is only 4 slices in that one. And they are 17 and 12. My husband as of yet wants to conquer the large meat loves by himself, the owners said a time frame and free pizza plus a picture and a tee-shirt, Husband wants to try it one day I have no doubt that he will finish it. I will be there with the camera/video of this event. (haha). If you all have not tried this place you GOTTA GO.

I should first say that I have never had a Chicago-style pizza, so I can't say whether it is as good as or even remotely like Chicago-style pizza from Chicago. More than likely it is not quite the same, but that may not matter to you. Wiseguys serves Chicago style pizzas and hot dogs and a few other Chicago style cuisines. I have only had the pizza, so I can only comment on this. The pizzas served here are enormous!!! They are huge. I have been here with three other people (all big eaters) before, and we have not finished an entire pizza. The pizzas have a very unique crust that is somewhere between pie crust and pizza crust -- that is to say It's a little crumbly and a little hard and chewy. It is very good and suits the contents of the pizza very well. The pizza is filled with whatever you request when you order, and when I say filled I mean filled. I don't mean topped. The pizza is about 2.5 to 3 inches thick and is served overflowing with marinara, cheese and your additions. It is very filling. One slice is typically enough for a typical diner, and 1.5 slices is usually more than enough for the very hungry diner. The ingredients are very fresh and very good, and you can taste the quality of the pie when it is served. The exterior of Wiseguys is easy to miss when you are driving as it appears to be a house. Look for the neon signs in the front and the nice porch! The interior of Wiseguys is hard wood floor and looks like the kitchen of a house, very quaint and nice. The service staff is excellent, and they are very nice. Southern hospitality at its finest. I recommend trying Wise guys. I can't say if it is genuinely Chicago pizza, but i find it tasty. If you go be sure to call ahead. Making an enormous pizza as is served here requires immense preparation and cooking time. Be kind to them and yourself, and give them at least an hours notice before your planned dining time. Enjoy.

Wow! Real Chicago pizza with the added benefit of not being in Chicago. Now how can you beat that. The hot dog is also tops. Great service, great food and friendly atmosphere. I'll bet their thin crust pizza is also fantastic. This is a must stop for pizza lovers.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations.
